BRAVO! OUTSTANDING OPERA PERFORMANCE!

On May 9 the P5 students worked with performers from the Scottish Opera to prepare for the performance of Slim McBride and the Lost Tribe.
During the morning, they learnt the staging and choreography for the songs that they had been practising. In the afternoon they put on costumes and performed a dress rehearsal for siblings and younger stages. Then families arrived and the students performed again to a very enthusiastic and appreciative audience. Bravo!

P5 at Georgian House

The P5 students visited Georgian House to learn about 18th Century Edinburgh. As part of the visit the students dressed up in 18th Century dress. The boys put on vests and cravats, and rolled up their pants to make breeches. The girls put on skirts, shawls called fichu, and hats called mob caps. The girls and boys dressed in separate rooms and then met up where they bowed and curtsied to each other.
